VAXOR MOTOR's Micro Axial-Flux Motor Research Accepted by IEEE ECCE 2025

01. High-Torque-Density Motion for Micro-Robotics

Micro-robots, dexterous hands, and compact joint modules place demanding constraints on motor diameter, weight, torque density, and system integration. At very small scales, conventional winding structures can present challenges in manufacturing consistency, space utilization, and thermal management.

The research applies PCB windings and high-density interconnect techniques to an axial-flux permanent-magnet motor. A multilayer stator architecture is used to improve conductor utilization and electromagnetic performance within a compact envelope, offering a practical development route for miniature robotic motion systems.

02. From Electromagnetic Design to Prototype Testing

The paper presents the motor topology, winding design, modeling approach, and prototype testing. Reviewer feedback recognized the technical structure of the work, the novelty of the PCB winding approach, and its relevance to micro-robotic applications, while also encouraging additional discussion of the transmission and system-level performance.

The final published paper is titled High Torque Density PCB Axial Flux Permanent Magnet Motor for Micro Robots. Product specifications and performance claims should be referenced against the published paper, approved test reports, and model-specific datasheets.

03. Presented at IEEE ECCE 2025

IEEE ECCE is a major international conference covering electrical and electromechanical energy conversion, power electronics, electric machines, and drives. ECCE 2025 was held in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, from October 19 to 23, 2025. VAXOR MOTOR participated in technical exchange around this research and showcased miniature joint-module and precision-motion technologies for robotics applications.

04. Connecting Research with International Collaboration

The paper's acceptance represents a milestone in VAXOR MOTOR's effort to connect fundamental research, engineering development, and product commercialization. The company will continue developing micro axial-flux motors, ultra-micro brushless coreless motors, and compact joint modules while improving performance, reliability, manufacturing consistency, and production scalability.

VAXOR MOTOR welcomes technical exchange and project collaboration with robotics companies, medical-device manufacturers, research institutions, and industry partners worldwide.
